meet our optometrists

Mike Yu O.D.

Dr. Yu has been living in Southern California ever since moving here from Taiwan at eight years old. He received his bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from UCLA and continued to the Southern California College of Optometry for his Doctor of Optometry Degree. In Optometry school, he focused on general practice with a special interest in providing therapy for partially-sighted patients. He enjoys traveling and playing basketball.

Jean Yeh O.D.

Dr. Yeh was raised in Northern California in the Bay Area. She received her bachelor degree from the University of California, Berkeley with a major in Biology. She continued on to the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton for her Doctor of Optometry degree. In optometry school she focused on Vision Therapy which involves helping patients with exercises to compensate for eye teaming or focusing difficulties. Dr. Yeh has two children. Dr. Yeh enjoys traveling, eating at interesting restaurants and playing tennis.

Our staff will help you understand the different technologies available for your visual needs so that you can decide what is essential in your daily activities. Our Opticians are trained to help guide you through the different styles, colors and sizes of frames so that you are happy and comfortable with your glasses.
SAMMIE
​Born and raised in sunny Southern California, Sammie has been with Yeh and Yu Optometry since 2009. As the Office Manager, Sammie overlooks the daily activities  from the front to the back office ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. From orders of patients' glasses including diligently tracking their progress to ensure patients receive their glasses as soon as possible. Sammie enjoys arts and crafts on the side and has a love for elephants and all things colorful. She uses her eye for aesthetics to help patients choose glasses that fit their style. She's readily available to ensure that all of our patients are happy and satisfied once they leave our office.

​KRYSTAL
​Our captain of the front desk since 2017, Krystal is likely the first smile you'll see in our office. Krystal works with patients from scheduling their appointment, authorizing insurances, and even checking in with them after they received their glasses or contact lenses. She's with the patients every step of the way. Always been a "people person" Krystal not only enjoys her job but she loves getting to know our patients as well. ​

​MEGAN
​Fresh out of the University of California, Merced, Megan joined the team in 2018. As one of our opticians, Megan helps patients with frame selection to compliment their personality and style. She also helps with glasses adjustments and places contact lenses orders. When she is not helping out patients, Megan enjoys painting, cooking (especially anything with tomatoes) and cheering on the Golden State Warriors.
        
NICOLE 
Nicole joined Yeh and Yu Optometry in 2018. With her outgoing personality, Nicole brings her enthusiasm when helping patients with their frame selection. She enjoys interacting with patients and wants to ensure that our patients leave happy and satisfied. Nicole not only helps patients with selecting their frames, she also quality inspects patients glasses and helps adjust when needed. On her spare time, Nicole roots for her favorite sports team, the Los Angeles Dodgers and she loves anything and everything that has to do with animals.

​STEPHANIE
​Interacting with patients and working together as a team to provide the best customer service is Stephanie's favorite part of the job. Stephanie has been a part of the Yeh & Yu Optometry since 2015. Her roles include billing, organizing patients charts, and assisting with various tasks around the office. When she is not helping out around the office, Stephanie likes dogsitting, reading and eating her favorite food: soup dumplings.

VIEN
With her background in Marketing in the Supplement & Beauty health industry, Vien joined the team in 2017. Her role extends with various tasks around the office such as scheduling appointments, ordering frames, checking on glasses job status and insurance authorizations. With her flare for trends and design, Vien enjoys using her creative side to maintain the website and social media pages.
